THE YELLOW WORLD
♥ book cover love ♥
designed by the awesome Jon Gray 318

An interview with Jon Gray about the cover here

Some beautiful Helen Levitt photographs.

Watching Wes Andersons's, Moonrise Kingdom I was delighted to discover books and their covers play a key role. One of the main characters Suzy Bishop takes her six favourite books with her when she runs away from home. These books create an extra character in the story and their covers offer insights into the mind of Suzy. All the books in the film relate to her and the covers feature illustrations of the girls in the books. The artists who created the covers got a big mention in the credits too! I love everyone of them.

p.s  A little film about the creative process here...

Beautiful posters by artist/graphic designer Daniel Eatock, made by repeatedly balancing paper on Letraset Promarker pens standing upright. The idea behind his felt tip prints was questioning if posters really even had to have any message at all.

Ahhh Geoff Mcfetridge is so talented, really want to catch his show at Ivory & Black

New Favourite artist - Bruce Wilhelm
